Neil Delamare - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Pensioner

One of Ireland's best loved comics makes annual visit to Town Hall Theatre

ONE DAY Neil Delamere's father asked him to help deliver the Meals on Wheels. He agreed, little knowing their lives would never be the same again - except for the bits of their lives that did not change.

This is the starting point of Neil Delamere's new show, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Pensioner, which he is bringing to the Town Hall Theatre on Thursday January 18 at 8pm.

The popular comic, described as "a master" The Scotsman, and of whom The Irish Times declared: “No TV camera could accurately measure the lightning speed of Delamere’s wit," has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Republic of Telly, and The Late Late Show, and he currently hosts the weekly Neil Delamere’s Sunday Best on Today FM.

He has performed at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival, Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where his shows have enjoyed critical acclaim. His RTÉ documentaries, which he wrote and presented, on the Vikings, St Patrick, and a selection of Irish heroes called Holding Out for A Hero, garnered an Irish Film and Television Award and a Celtic Media Award as well as international sales to the History Channel and SBS.

Ticket are available from the Town Hall (091 - 569777, www.tht.ie ).
