The Three Tenors to play Galway Cathedral

THE THREE Tenors, whose concerts have been called "fabulous, high-calibre...soulful" by the Sunday Independent, and a "knockout’’ by the New York Times, return to Galway for a Christmas concert.

The Three Tenors - Derek Moloney, Dominic McGorian, and Shane Morgan - play Galway Cathedral on Thursday December 21 at 8pm to perform a range of classic songs by Sinatra, The Dubliners, and Pavarotti, alongside Christmas favourites like 'Ave Maria', 'The Prayer', 'I Believe', 'O Holy Night', 'Silent Night', 'When A Child Is Born'. Special guests will be the Scoil Íde School Choir Salthill.

Last year the trio were selected by Government to headline 1916 Centenary State Reception in Dublin Castle, on Easter Sunday, performing to a crowd of 3,000. They were also the only group selected to perform at the opening of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in the RDS and in Croke Park in 2012. They were also the headline act for the sell-out European premiere for the film Lincoln in 2013.

Tickets are €25 from OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street (091 - 509960 ), the Cathedral Bookshop (091 - 563577 ), or Ticketmaster.ie
