Colum McDonnell @ Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh

Bridget and Eamonn and Irish Pictorial Weekly star plays Galway on Friday

COLUM MCDONNELL, a hero of the Irish underground comedy scene, who has appeared on RTÉ's Bridget and Eamonn and Irish Pictorial Weekly, comes to the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh.

Over the past decade, Colum has established himself as a regular on the Irish and British comedy circuits, with his unusual and often self-deprecating outlook on family, life, love, and the pain of being the last-living hobbit in Ireland. He has also appeared on Comedy Central's The World Stands Up.

Support is from Sean Nolan, winner of RTE’s New Comedy Awards. He is regarded as one of Ireland’s finest joke writers, and is possessed of a dry wit and more one liners than you could shake a stick at, if you had a stick. There will also be a short spot from American Billy Anderson, whose comedy the Charleston City Paper described as “a treat to watch and a joy to behold”.

The Clubh is on this Friday November 10 at 9pm. The MC is Steve Bennett. Tickets are €8 in advance from roisindubh.net; OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; Roisin Dubh Pub; or €10 on the door.
