New MetLife Global Technology Campus to open in the city next week

Global insurance giant MetLife will officially open its new premises in Hynes Buildings, St Augustine Street, next Tuesday.

The company announced plans to develop a technology hub in Galway in November 2016, along with 200 IT jobs for the area.

The hub, known as the MetLife Global Technology Campus, will be officially opened by Tánaiste and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald, at 2.15pm on Tuesday November 7.

The campus will employ 200 IT professionals, and the company has said the opening “represents a major investment in digital initiatives that will help MetLife transform customer experiences around the world, as well as demonstrating MetLife’s commitment to Ireland as its European hub.”
