The Western Family History Association will be in the Galway City Museum this Saturday to provide free family history and genealogy advice for members of the public starting or struggling with their research.
WFHA committee members Paul Greaney and Pat Finn will give an illustrated talk at 12 noon outlining the various sources available to those embarking on family history research, and provide advice on how to progress genealogical research through census, civil, church and land records. They will also recommend how to record and present findings. The talk is suitable for beginners and intermediate researchers.
A 2pm, members of the public are invited to bring their genealogical research and queries to experienced WFHA members, who will offer free advice on sources and strategies for Irish family history research.
