Doc Gilbert to exhibit watercolours in Oughterard

RETROSPECTIVE, AN exhibition of watercolours by Doc Gilbert, spanning the last 30 years, opens at the Oughterard Courthouse this week.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Galway city arts officer James Harrold this Saturday at 7.30pm. Speaking about her work, Ms Gilbert said: "Watercolour is an elusive medium which constantly challenges me to push out the boundaries, to dare stretch the rules. As I continue to search I am conscious of the need to reflect the mood of the subject, whether it be a landscape, or a corner of my garden, or moments of my life."

Exhibition times are 11am to 6pm (Saturday, Sunday, Monday ) and 2.30pm to 6pm (Tuesday October 31 to Saturday November 4 ), and 11am to 4pm (Sunday 5 ).
