Their self-titled debut album, released in August, was rewarded with Top 5 spot in the album charts in Ireland. Tonight they play the upstairs bar in the Róisín Dubh at 9pm.
The band - Steven King, Kevin Keane, Dara Coleman - from Dublin, mix grunge and garage rock with a pop sensibility. Hotpress described their music as "amphetamined, take no prisoners rock with pop hooks that Brian Wilson would be proud of". Such sentiments have been echoed by Golden Plec: “Fangclub win you over with their sheer enthusiasm and infectious melodies". Meanwhile Radio Nova has compared the band to "early Foo Fighters or Greenday".
