Classy cocktail classes — the perfect girls’ night out at the House Hotel

The art of cocktail mixing is known by very few, so why not add yourself to the elite list and learn to make the perfect Cosmopolitan? The city centre boutique House hotel is now offering the chance to learn from a professional mixologist how to create your favourite cocktails.

If you book a classy cocktail class, the hotel’s award-winning mixologist Chris Lally will teach you to craft each drink to superior standards. The mixologist will also guide novices through the history of the spirits and ingredients, along with teaching the skills polished by years of experience so you can produce the perfect drink to impress your friends.

Chris Lally has already won numerous awards for his imaginative cocktail creations in the past and recently came second out of the finest 50 bartenders from across Ireland at the Finlandia Cocktail Cup final in Dublin.

“The Classy Cocktail Class is an interactive experience and it gives our customers an opportunity to experiment with cocktail making techniques and have a little fun,” said Niall Dalton, general manager of the House hotel. “Attending a cocktail class is a perfect start of a night out and it is a great idea for hen or birthday parties.”

The classes are held at the hotel’s casually elegant cocktail bar, the Parlour Bar & Grill. Classy cocktail classes cost only €14.95 per person, including demonstration, tasting, and a cocktail. Minimum eight people required per class. Classes can be booked by phone on (091 ) 538900 or by e-mail at [email protected].

Located on Lower Merchants Road in the heart of Galway city, the House hotel is open for lunch and dinner every day and now also offers cocktail hour specials — all cocktails are only €7.95 from Monday to Friday between 5pm and 9pm.
