Footballers take to the catwalk to support ladies’ football

Footballers Shane Walsh and Damien Comer are taking to the catwalk in support of Kilkerrin Clonberne ladies football.

The club is hosting the fundraising fashion show on September 28 in the Ard Ri Hotel, Tuam where Walsh and Comer will be joining some of the women footballers, Pauline Ronayne, Caroline Coneran, Sheila Burke, Lisa Murphy, Sarah Gannon, Alannah Grehan and Denise Finnegan, and models from Catwalk Modelling Agency.

The fun event will begin with a wine and canape reception at 7pm and the chance to browse the fashion and retail exhibitor area which includes milliners, mens and ladies’ fashion boutiques, bakers and jewellers.

The show begins at 8pm, with boutiques from Tuam, Boyle and Galway showcasing their autumn/winter 2017 collections on the night. Fashion shops include Willow, Galway; Marians of Boyle Boutique, Boyle; Standún, Spiddal; Annemarie’s Ladies Boutique, Tuam; Anthony Ryans, Galway city; Fallons for Men, Tuam; Fusion Fashion, Moycullen; Born, Tuam; Ivy Boutique, Tuam; Lily Boutique, Tuam; and Love It, Tuam.

TV3’s Caroline Downey is the special guest and she will be offering tips and advice, as well as judging the best dressed competition. And with a raffle prize fund of more than €2,000 to be won, it promises to be memorable event. Prizes include a break for two at the Radisson Blu, outfit of choice, travel vouchers, and dinner for two at the Athlone Springs Hotel.
