Job opportunities for everyone at JobsExpo this weekend

Jobs Expo Galway, the West’s premier recruitment event, returns this Saturday, September 16, offering attendees a huge variety of job opportunities with up to 40 leading employers, as well as career advice, seminars and workshops.

The event takes place at the Galway Bay Hotel and will feature many of the West’s most highly regarded companies, including both Irish and multinational employers. Companies taking part include Boston Scientific, Aviva, SmartBear, LotusWorks, Merit Medical, Siteminder, PhoneWatch, Transitions Optical and Peter Mark, amongst others. In addition, the government of the Isle of Man will be showcasing the many career opportunities on the island.

Jobs Expo Galway also offers a full day of seminars, talks and workshops for jobseekers as well as free career advice from qualified career counsellors.

“We had an overwhelming response from companies and jobseekers at Jobs Expo Galway last February and our September event includes even more of the leading Irish and multinational companies based in the West”, says organiser Bronagh Cotter of Careers Unlimited.

Jobs Expo Galway will feature a number of specialised areas so that attendees can meet the kinds of companies that most interest them. These include:

The Mall - jobs in sales, retail and related areasGo Global - career opportunities overseas

The west is a STEM, medical technology and ICT hub so we are delighted to have companies like Transitions Optical, Merit Medical, SiteMinder and LotusWorks taking part, and more are being added every day”, says Ms Cotter.

Jobs Expo Galway will include free career advice as well as a series of industry seminars. In addition, The Career Clinic offers the chance for attendees to meet a team of professional careers coaches free of charge. The team can help candidates with crucial issues such as interview skills and CV presentation or give advice for anyone looking to change career direction.

Also, the Agenda Stage will offer free, topical talks by industry insiders, hosting talks on a variety of topics including job-seeking skills, using social media to land your dream job, interview techniques, CV writing workshops, entrepreneurship, working in the USA, New Zealand and Dubai, returning to work after a career break and how professional women can break the ‘glass ceiling’ and move into senior roles.
