The Education and Training Working Group of the Mayo Local Community Development Committee are organising an Information, Education and Training Supports Expo in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris, on Thursday, August 31, from 10am to 1.30pm. The aim of the Expo is to provide adults with information on the wide range of training and educational opportunities as well as information on the various supports and work placement programmes available to them. At the Expo there will also be workshops on self employment and returning to education and training.
Keynote speakers on the day include entrepreneur Donal Byrne from The Big Red Barn, and digital marketing expert and author, Louise McDonnell, who will give a presentation on Facebook marketing – The Potential for Small Businesses and Organisations.
Further education and training opportunities will be available on the day, also at the Expo there will be a workshop on self employment by South West Mayo Development Company from 12.30pm to 1.15pm, and returning to education, by the Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim Education and Training Board also taking place from 12.30pm to 1.15pm.
Admission on the day is free and light refreshments will be served throughout.
