NO STAIRWAY, the brilliant Galway Led Zeppelin tribute band, fronted by the multi-talented phenomenon that is Steven Sharpe, plays the Róisín Dubh next week.
The band - Steven Sharpe on vocals; Ronan O'Malley on guitars; Bill Dunne on drums; Shane O'Malley on bass/keys - return to the Róisín Dubh on Friday August 18 at 9pm.
The quartet aim to recreate Zeppelin's live presence and studio albums as faithfully as possible - they do particularly impressive renditions of 'Kashmir' and 'Achilles Last Stand', no mean feats. Expect to hear classic songs and some overlooked album tracks, as well as see the use of a ghoulish theremin and a double-neck guitar (as played by Jimmy Page ). This year has seen the quartet play gigs across Ireland, including headlining Killarney Bike Fest in the INEC. Admission is €10.
