Club GASS - two shows for Pride

Mr Pussy to headline SAturday night's extra Club GASS for Galway Community Pride festival

CLUB GASS, Galway's only LGBT+ club night, will run for two nights as part of the 2017 Galway Community Pride festival, taking place in the Róisín Dubh this Friday and Saturday night.

Tomorrow (Friday August 11] from 11.30pm (following the gig by The Undertones ) Club GASS's Pride warm-up party takes place with DJ John on the decks; Kiki St Claire hosts another of her fabulous drag shows with special guest, Dublin's Regina George, a regular in The George, and of Dragged Up fame.

The Galway Community Pride parade takes place this Saturday [August 12] . Participants are asked to assemble at City Hall, College Road, at 1.30pm, with the parade making its way past Eyre Square, through Williamsgate Street, Shop Street, High Street, Quay Street, across Wolfe Tone Bridge, and on to Fr Burke Park. Look out for Kiki and the girls on the Club Gass float, one of Galway's first mobile Pride floats.

Saturday evening from 9pm sees the second Club GASS of the week, kicking off with Ireland's 'Misleading Lady', the legendary Mr Pussy, who will deliver a show of stand-up comedy act and cabaret. A special cocktail will be on sale named Mr Pink Pussy. Mr Pussy will be supported by some of Galway's finest old school queens. From 10pm Kiki and Regina are back with another spectacular drag show supported by queens from all over the country. Afterwards is the Club Gass UV party with UV face paint and DJ duo Swim supplying the soundtrack.
