DRUID THEATRE Company is seeking submissions for its New Writing programme, and its artist residency programme, FUEL. Both initiatives are designed to support artists and enrich the company’s artistic programme.
New Writing is accepting scripts until November 30 via a new online process. Selected scripts may be read as part of the company’s Druid Debuts series each summer, with a view to further development.
Submissions for the FUEL programme open today and run until August 24. The selected 2017/8 artists will be recognised as Associate Artists of The Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane, will be mentored, paid a fee for each contact day on the FUEL programme, offered professional development workshops, office space, and assistance in developing work. Artists will feed into Druid’s artistic programme through attendance at rehearsals, meetings with the Druid Ensemble and invitations to Druid events. The programme runs for nine months.
