Baile An Salsa return to Monroe's Live

Latin American/Irish group run crowdfuinding campaign to help launch new album

FOLLOWING AN extensive tour of the USA earlier this year, Baile An Salsa return to Galway to deliver their exciting fusion to traditional Irish and Latin American musics to Monroe's Live.

The band was founded in 2012 by lead vocalist Andres Martorell, who is originally from Uruguay. His vocal style incorporates melodies from various styles including salsa, flamenco, and sean nós. He also performs songs in English, as Gaeilge, and Spanish.

The band have recorded their second album with multi-Grammy Award winning Central American composer/producer Walter Flores, a long time collaborator/conductor for Latino superstar Ruben Blades. The band are currently doing a crowdfunding campaign to finance its release. After their Galway show, Baile an Salsa will return to the USA top play the Philadelphia Folk Festival this month.
