A YOUNG couple struggle to adapt to the reality and responsibility of parenthood after the birth of their first child. This is A Break In The Clouds, a short film which premieres at the Galway Film Fleadh.
The film was written and directed by Tristan Heanue from Letterfrack, who also stars in the film. He has appeared in Vikings and his directorial debut Today, was screened at the 27th Galway Film Fleadh. The cast includes Gemma-Leah Devereux (Get Up & Go, Stitches ), Marie Ruane (Foxes, Striking Out ), Linda Bhreathnach (Adulting, Ros na Rún ).
A Break In The Clouds was shot around Letterfrank, Tullycross, and Dennyver. It was produced by Paddy Slattery, a long term collaborator of Tristan’s, with cinematography by Narayan Van Maele, editing by John Deasy, sound design by IFTA Winner Nikki Moss (Patrick’s Day ), with a soundtrack composed by Michael Fleming.
