'13' reasons to see an exhibition in Kinvara

Artwork by Rachel Coyne, Joan Finnegan, Mary Fuller, Marie Cunningham, Carmel Daly, Carol Feeney and Penny Cahill

THIRTEEN IS seen by many as an unlucky number, but for a group of GMIT artists it is a very positive number as it represents their number and is the name of their new exhibition.

13 is the title of a new exhibition by graduates of GMIT BA in fine art class 2017, which opens on Friday June 30 at 7pm in The Courthouse, Kinvara.

A class of 13 artists concluded six years of part time study with their Graduate Degree Show held in CCAM, Cluain Mhuire, at the end of May. The exhibition is called ‘13’ to represent the individual artists, their individual painting style, and individual life stories, which culminated in the work that will be on display. Seven artists from the group - Rachel Coyne, Joan Finnegan, Mary Fuller, Marie Cunningham, Carmel Daly, Carol Feeney and Penny Cahill - will display their work at The Courthouse.

The exhibition is hosted by KAVA (Kinvara Area Visual Arts ). The exhibition runs from Saturday July 1 to Monday 10, daily from 11am to 5pm. All are welcome.
