THREE WOMEN in one place, on one evening, under an unforgiving sky, find themselves on the precipice of catastrophe. This is Crestfall by Mark O’Rowe, which will be staged by Druid as part of the 2017 Galway International Arts Festival.
Crestfall runs at the Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane, from July 14 to 29. It stars Kate Stanley Brennan as Alison; Siobhán Cullen, recently seen in the National Theatre’s production of The Plough and the Stars, as Olive; and Amy McElhatton, newly graduated from the Lir Academy, in the role of Tilly. The production team is the same one who staged last year’s sell-out show, Helen and I by Meadhbh McHugh. Annabelle Comyn directs, with design by Aedín Cosgrave, costumes by Doreen McKenna, and sound by Philip Stewart.
"It’s great to be working with this fantastic team on such a powerful play," said Druid artistic director Garry Hynes. "Crestfall tells of three troubled but formidable women. The production will transform the space of the Mick Lally Theatre and it’s going to be hugely exciting."
