Al Murray - Lets Go Backwards Together

Comedian to provide answers to the pressing problems of Brexit Britain

IN MAY 1940, three days after the Fall of France, with Nazi Germany looking unstoppable, Winston Churchill made a rousing speech to the House of Commons, concluding: "Come then, let us go forward together with our united strength."

Modern Britain though is anything but united. It is quitting the EU, the customs union, and the single market; the demand for Scottish independence just will not go away; unionists no longer have a majority in Stormont; and Labour is so riven with divisions, former PM Tony Blair is calling on voters to support the Lib Dems and Pro-Remain Tories!

What Britain needs now is a vision, and answers, and Al Murray, through his celebrated The Pub Landlord character, believes he has them in his new show, Let's Go Backwards Together.

Murray is bringing his show to the Róisín Dubh on Sunday May 7 at 8pm. Galway will see this publican, politician (he stood in the UK election in 2015 ), and philosopher, answer the call of destiny even though it is an unlisted number; call time on tyranny even though he is not sure what that means; and see a man unafraid to say no to women ordering anything other than a glass of white wine, or fruit based drink.

Tickets are now on sale at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
