Porridge bread

Everyone seems to be making porridge bread lately, and when you taste it for the first time you will know why. The team at Evergreen Healthfoods love trying out new recipes so you can imagine their delight when they tried and tasted this bread. Here is Evergreen's super easy and wickedly tasty porridge bread recipe.

Ingredients

400g Coyo natural yoghurt (one large tub )

2 tubs Evergreen oats (use the yoghurt tub to measure oats )

1 egg

4 tbsp Ecomil almond milk

2 tsp Doves Farm bicarbonate of soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup of mixed seeds (chia, sesame, poppy, and sunflower )

Method

Preheat oven to 180°C .

Line a 2lb loaf tin with parchment paper.

Mix the yoghurt, egg, and bicarbonate of soda. Stir in the oats, salt, and seeds.

Ensure the mixture is well combined. Place mix into the loaf tin.

Cut a line down the centre of the bread and sprinkle with more seeds.

Cook for 45-55 minutes, depending on your oven. Remove loaf from tin and return to the oven upside down for five minutes (this makes it crispy all over ).

Insert a skewer and ensure the inside is cooked before removing from the oven.

Allow to cool on a wire tray.
