Star trio wins Irish Van of the Year 2017

Toyota Proace/Citroen Dispatch/Peugeot Expert van, products of the joint-venture development and production agreement of the three companies, has been voted Irish Van of the Year 2017 in association with Continental Tyres.

The award, which is the property of the Irish Motoring Writers Association, is voted by a jury of Ireland's most experienced van journalists, including the five man IMWA Irish Van of the Year jury and five invited jurors.

Padraic Deane, chairman of the IMWA Irish Van of the Year, committee says there was one stand-out winner of the long established award this year. The Citroen Dispatch, Peugeot Expert and Toyota Proace trio are built in PSA's (Peugeot-Citroen ) Sevelnord production facility in northeastern France.

"A testament to the high standards these van achieve is best summed up by the fact that this was the first time Toyota has let another original equipment manufacturer totally engineer and build a vehicle for them," he says.

Michael Gaynor, marketing director at Toyota Irelandm says the Proace is proving "exceptionally popular" with the Irish market due to its high levels of safety, comfort and convenience.

"Toyota is in tune with what customers are looking for and this win has once again proved our status in the industry.”

In addition to buying to the Irish Van of the Year, Toyota customers have limited time to avail of Proace offers with finance from 1.9% and scrappage up to €4,000.
