New summer courses with Galway Actors Workshop - early bird discounts before April 19

Galway Actors Workshop presents a jam-packed programme of workshops in all aspects of theatre and drama for the summer term, and, for this week only, special early bird discounts are available to those who book before April 19.

The terms starts the first week in May and Galway Actors Workshop has brought back two of its popular 12-week courses — Introduction to Acting for beginners, which takes place on Monday evenings, and Play Performance, which is on Tuesdays and culminates in a show in August.

The workshop has split The Next Stage into two separate classes — one on voice, text and professional skills which will be taught by Sarah O'Toole and Darragh O'Brien on Wednesdays, and another on physical theatre and devising, which will be taught by James Riordan on Tuesdays. Each will end with a showcase performance, and there is also a special package discount if you want to do them both and really push your theatre skills this summer.

Galway Actors Workshop has also unveiled its first Acting in Irish course, also taking place on Wednesdays, which is designed for actors who learned Irish in school and want to open themselves to more professional work in the west of Ireland.

On Thursdays the group will continue its popular six-week Presence and Flow: Mindfulness and Creativity through Drama, and there is also a Write a Play course spread over three Saturdays throughout the term.
