FEAST - from punk to 'space neo-prog'

Guilty Optics, Mons Olympus, and Doppelskangers to play Róisín Dubh

POST-PUNK, "space neo-prog", and Galway punk/hardcore with a sense of divilment, are all on the cards when the next FEAST gig takes place at the Róisín Dubh this weekend.

Guilty Optics, who are releasing their new album Colossal Velocity, Mons Olympus, and Doppelskangers, will play the Dominick Street venue's upstairs bar from 8.30pm this Saturday.

Guilty Optics, from Dublin, play a jagged, insistent, yet tuneful post punk, driven by aggressive guitars and thundering bass. They recorded their new album using vintage amps recorded through vintage mics.

Belfast’s Mons Olympus are making their debut Galway appearance. They describe themselves as "space neo-prog" and fuse anthemic classic rock, stoner and grunge rock, and prog. Galway’s Doppelskangers have been brandishing their scheme to get drunk and play music together for a while now. The fun is guaranteed.

Admission is €7 or €17 for admission and LP of Colossal Velocity.
