Cushman & Wakefield launches Galway’s tourist office to the market

Cushman & Wakefield Galway has been instructed by Fáilte Ireland on the sale of its interest in its Galway city tourist office on Forster Street. The property extends to a total of 1,388.5 square metres over three levels and occupies one of the city’s highest profile corners at the junction of Forster Street and Fairgreen, immediately adjacent to the Forster Court Hotel.

The building is finished to a high specification throughout to provide open plan retail space at ground floor, fully fitted offices at first floor, and ancillary basement storage. According to sales agent Sean Coyne of Cushman & Wakefield Galway: “The property enjoys an excellent position in one of Galway’s premier commercial locations and would suit a variety of alternative uses subject to planning permission.”

Fáilte Ireland is currently in the process of securing a new tourist office location in the city centre and the property is being sold with the benefit of a nine-month licence agreement to Fáilte Ireland.

Sole selling agent, Cushman & Wakefield, is seeking bids in excess of €2,250,000 on the property. Best bids must be submitted by midday on Wednesday, April 26.
