Andrew Maxwell: Yo Contraire

Comedian brings new show to the stage of the Róisín Dubh

ANDREW MAXWELL, “one of the most significant comedians working in the country today", according to The Independent, returns to Galway to perform his latest show, Yo Contraire, at the Róisín Dubh.

In a review of Yo Contraire, Time Out called it a "confident, well-informed, crowd-pleasing show", saying "It takes a lot of skill to make stand-up look this effortless...a self-confessed ‘news junkie’, he’s hideously well informed in every topic".

Maxwell is the founder and curator of the Altitude Comedy Festival in Mayrhofen, Austria. He is also a regular on prime time TV and radio with The Panel, Monumental, The Blame Game, Delete Delete Delete, Live at the Apollo, Conspiracy Roadtrip, and 8 out of 10 Cats. He regularly plays the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and has been described by The Times as "fiercely funny and utterly invigorating".

Andrew Maxwell: Yo Contraire is at the Róisín Dubh on Friday February 24 at 8.30pm. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
