Purple Rain - A Celebration of Prince

THE FIRST anniversary of the death of Prince - the soul, funk, rock, r'n'b genius and visionary - is drawing close, and a show is coming to Galway intends to celebrate the man, his life, and his music, in some style.

Purple Rain - A Celebration of Prince will be performed in Dublin, Cork, Belfast, and Galway, with the Galway show taking place in the Black Box Theatre on Saturday May 20. The show has been lauded by original Prince & The Revolution drummer Bobby Z as “authentic and on the money”.

It enjoyed sold-out shows across Britain, and features an eight-piece band, with actor/musician Jimi Love as Prince, along with backing vocalists and a horn section, performing '1999', 'Little Red Corvette', 'Purple Rain', 'Kiss', 'Diamonds And Pearls', 'U Got The Look', 'When Doves Cry', 'Cream', 'I Wanna Be Your Lover', and more.
