THE QUAYS is hosting gigs by some of Galway and Ireland's most popular covers bands this weekend, with the venue also running an offer of free entry to gigs on Fridays and Sundays.
Tonight sees a Battle Of The Bands, while tomorrow night Big Generator take to the stage. The band have played throughout Asia and Europe, scored a number of charting singles, played London's Marquee club, and supported Joe Satriani when he played Dublin.
Undercover - Lee Curran (guitar/vocals ), James Curran (guitar/vocals ), Stephen Cleary (bass/backing vocals ), Steve Caldwell (drums/backing vocals ) - play on Saturday. Having played to small clubs and large events throughout the country, the band can cater a set to almost any taste.
Weightless Astronauts, play on Sunday. Expect songs by The Killers, The Kings of Leon, Culture Club, Journey, Black Eyed Peas, The Doobie Brothers, The Divine Comedy, and The Violent Femmes.
