GALWAY SKA and reggae band Big Jelly will headline a charity concert night, the Haiti Music Project Fundraiser, which will also feature an array of Galway musical talent.
Big Jelly - Pauli Smalls (baritone horn ), Dan Guinane (trumpet ), Shane O’Malley (bass trombone ), Geoff Ward (soprano sax ), Bill Wright (tenor sax ), Bri Gosker (guitar ), Anna Mullarkey (keys ), Dave Shaughnessy (drums ), Sam Wright (bass ) - play early Jamaican roots ska songs by Toots and the Maytals, The Skatalites, Prince Buster, Bob Marley, and Lee 'Scratch' Perry.
Also playing are Bianco Sporco, a multicultural music collective often seen entertaining crowds on Galway’s main streets with their mix of original and world music numbers; as well as The Atlantic Rhythm Section, DJ Will Softly, Noriana Kennedy & Friends, Kevin Duffy, Debra Wallace, Stephen ‘Wildtrack’ Molloy, Troubadour Mules, Orlagh De Bhaldraithe, My Fellow Sponges, and the Galway Uke Collective.
