THE NEIGHBOURHOOD around the Nile Lodge and Fr Griffin Road area is the subject of a new exhibition by the Galway artist Melanie McDonagh.
Drawings of Nile Lodge runs in Murray’s Coffee Shop, 1 Nile Lodge, Lower Salthill, until December 10. Speaking about the show the artist says: "The theme is 'neighbourhood' and features drawings, watercolours, and prints of buildings in the local area. I have lived in the area for quite a while, and have always appreciated it’s beauty and history, but now through the process of drawing outside I am meeting neighbours. I am seeing the area a new light. It has been a great experience.”
