FEAST brings the metal to the Róisín

Mares Of Diomedes, Partholón, Tired Light

MARES OF DIOMEDES, the doom/fuzz/sludge metal band are back in Galway this weekend, having just released a new split record with Copenhagen based purveyors of bleak doom, Dreich.

Mares Of Diomedes' music has been described as “bone rattling doom that is on par with the best in the genre," by Sludgelord, while Wonderbox Metal said of their sound: "This is fuzzed-up and harsh, with colossal riffs drenched in distortion being unleashed like they are going out of fashion...memorable stoner/doom metal riffs, a fat sludgy sound and very tasty vocals."

The band play the next FEAST night upstairs in the Roisin Dubh on Saturday December 3 at 9pm. Also playing are Partholón, who take their name from the Irish mythological character. Support is from Galway band Tired Light, featuring several veterans of the local music scene. An EP is planned for release in 2017.

Admission is €5.
