EssentialSkillz named Connacht’s fastest growing tech company in Deloitte Fast 50

Galway-based eLearning company EssentialSkillz is proud to announce that their recent success in world markets was recognised by Deloitte in their Technology Fast 50 Awards for 2016.

The Deloitte Fast 50 measures Ireland’s fastest growing indigenous companies in the tech sector. Cumulatively, the 2016 Fast50 winners generated approximately €1.6 billion in total annual revenues in 2015. The average revenue of companies featuring on the ranking was approximately €31 million, while the average growth rate of the companies over the last four years was 270%.

CEO Tony Dervan stated “we are delighted that our efforts have led to this award. The Deloitte Fast 50 is recognised worldwide and should further strengthen the EssentialSkillz brand in export markets where 95% of our sales are made. However, the most pleasing aspect of the award, is that it gives due recognition to the effort our people make in creating such a compelling offering to our rapidly growing customer base. It is also nice to be flying the flag for Galway as a great location to base and grow a technology company.“

Announcing the winners of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme, Peter Allen, Partner, Deloitte Belfast said: “We are delighted to be recognising these exceptional and innovative Irish companies. Their contribution to the technology sector is critical to the success of the industry overall in Ireland and it is clear from the turnover derived from exports that they are having considerable success in global markets also.”
