John Colleary @ Roisin Dubh Comedy Clubh

HIS TALES of getting lost in County Kerry, while taking directions from a pub owner was one of the highlights of last week's Vodafone Comedy Carnival 2016, while his re-imaging of Michael D Higgins as a Donal Trump type-character were also side-splitting.

Irish comedian John Colleary returns to Galway to play the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh this Friday. His mastery of satire and mimicry were shown to great effect in the IFTA nominated The Savage Eye, which John also co-wrote. He has also appeared on Stand and Deliver and The Panel (RTE2 ), and was a writer/performer on the 'Last Orders' slot on Today FM's Last Word.

Support is from Donal Vaughan, winner of the 2016 Comedy Store London King Gong, the 2015 Laughing Horse New Act of the Year, and the 2014 Tedfest Comedy Award. Enterainment.ie have praised his “sharp, punchy lines that never fail to hit home".

The MC is Irish Comedian of the Year 2016, Steve Bennett. Tickets are €8 in advance (www.roisindubh.net, the Roisin Dubh, and OMGAZhivago on Shop Street ) and €10 on the door.
