My Fellow Sponges return to Róisín Dubh

TAKE AN obsession with words, add a splash of weirdness, some theatrical training, and you have something like what My Fellow Sponges get up to on and off stage.

The Galway 'prog-folk' quintet return to the Róisín Dubh on Friday November 11 at 10pm. Their music, performed on piano, double bass, electric base, acoustic guitar, flute, banjo, clarinet, tin whistle, melodica, ukelele, drums, harmonium, glockenspiel, bodhran, Jew's harp, and tuba, runs a gamut of influences, while the vocals are delivered in three part harmony.

The band have played Body & Soul, Knockanstockan, Sunflowerfest, Boyle Arts Festival and the Ballinamore Fringe.

Admission is €8. See www.roisindubh.net
