Chainska Brassika - rising ska stars

Skatalites approved ska band to play Seven

CHAINSKA BRASSIKA have been called "one of the most impressive and promising upcoming acts in the reggae/ska genre," by no less than the masters of that genre - The Skatalites. What more recommendation do you need?

Chainska Brassika, who have also been called "the rising stars of the London ska scene," according to efestivals' Richie Cadence, play The Loft at Seven, Bridge Street, on Saturday November 5 at 11.30pm. They are currently promoting the single 'Don't You Try'.

In the last year, the Lewisham band have won the World Reggae Contest; supported Madness on the 'Nutty Boys' Grandslam UK stadium tour; played Glastonbury, Boomtown, Outlook, Ostroda Reggae, and the Nottinghill Carnival. They also flew to Jamaica, to record at the famous Harry J Studios in Kingston, working with Grammy Award winning producer Stephen Stewart, on their next album.

Tickets are €10 from www.sevenbridgestreet.ie or www.ticketmaster.ie
