The Riptide Movement play Monroe's Live in November

Quartet to release new album, Ghosts, next month

"IT'S BEEN an amazing two years since we released Getting Through, with so many highs to recall - from our first No 1 gold selling album, to touring the UK, Europe and Australia, to our first main stage appearance at Electric Picnic - it has been an incredible journey."

So says The Riptide Movement's lead singer Mal Tuohy about an extraordinary 2014 to 2016 for the Dubliners. The quartet are no strangers to Galway and will bring their powerhouse rock to Monroe’s Live on Friday November 18 at 8.30pm.

By the time that gig takes place, the band will have released their fourth album, Ghosts (out October 21 ). According to Mal: “It has taken the best part of 18 months to write and record Ghosts, a journey that began somewhere between the Caragh river and the Seefin mountains of Glenbeigh and came to completion in Tornillo, Texas, 30 miles east of the Rio Grande.

"We feel it’s our greatest offering to date and we're so excited to finally get it out to the world. Lead single 'Elephant In The Room' is a personal favourite and a song we feel is a strong representation of our album."
