Indie-pop band Penrose to play Seven

IRISH INDIE-pop band Penrose mix the harmonies of The Beatles and ELO with 1990s Britrock sensibilities of Richard Ashcroft and Oasis, as Galway will hear when they play The Loft at Seven this Saturday at 9.30pm.

The band - Darragh McGrane (vocals/guitar ) Caolan Fitzsimons (guitar ), Mark Bolger (bass ), Benji Hayes (keys ), Donal Bowens (drums ) - saw their 2015 debut EP, Live For The Dream, reach No 3 in the Irish charts, while the single 'Melody' went to No 10 and enjoyed airplay on Today FM, FM104, and RTÉ. The 'Sign On' single came out this year. A second EP and album are due to follow in 2017.

The band have supported Jack L, The Original Rude Boys, The Mighty Stef, Paddy Casey, The Minutes, Damien Dempsey, and Aslan.
