Tracy Bruen plays Strange Brew on Thursday

Singer-songwriter and band to play "some new songs, and debut a new sound"

TRACY BRUEN, the Galway Advertiser's Galway Solo Artist of the Year 2015, and her band, will play Strange Brew, one of Ireland’s longest running club nights, in the Róisín Dubh this week.

Tracy's music mixes folk, indie, blues, while also incorporating the influence of theatre, giving it an unapologetically quirky and left-field feel, while retaining a strong sense of melody and beauty. A superb vocalist, We Plug Good Music described Tracy's voice as "husky, whispery". For the upcoming show, Tracy will be joined by her full band, along with special guests, "playing some new songs, and debut a new sound". Check out her superb EP, Play Outside The Lines.

The show takes place this Thursday. Doors are at 9pm. Support is from Meath based alt-blues band Rufus Coates & The Blackened Trees. Their debut album was an 'album of the week' in The Irish Times. Admission is free.
