Heritage week continues in Galway with a programme of events organised by the Galway Civic Trust.
Today (Thursday ) sees a walking tour of Galway’s medieval treasures and a guided tour of the National Computing and Communications Museum in Dangan. Other events include a tour of the Renmore Military Barracks, as well as a talk and demonstration on medieval material culture at the old city walls in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre on Friday at 1pm.
There is a captivating family event on Saturday at Galway’s own “Dead Zoo” in the NUIG zoology museum, featuring real life creepy crawlies, before the week concludes with a fascinating heritage cycle in the company of Galway City Cycle Tours on Sunday at 11am.
