Four homes burgled over the weekend

Gardaí are appealing for information following a number of break-ins in Newcastle and Knocknacarra in recent days.

Four houses were broken into over the weekend, two in Newcastle and one in Knocknacarra, as well as a house in Moycullen.

A home in Hazel Park was burgled on Friday evening, August 12, and a laptop was stolen from the house. It is believed an intruder gained access to the house via the back door.

Two burglaries occurred in the area on Saturday. A home in Dangan Heights was broken into between 9.30pm and 10.15pm and a sum of money and other items were taken in the raid.

A house in Droim Oir, Knocknacarra, was burgled at some time between 7pm and 9.45pm on the same evening, and a number of items were taken.

Another break-in occurred at a house in Uggool, Moycullen, on Saturday night, between 8.30pm and 1.30am, and the contents of a safe were stolen.
