Goalkeeper
David de Gea - Man United; Price: £5.5 million.
The Spanish shot-stopper will be in his sixth season at Old Trafford and I expect him to have his best return. De Gea managed 15 clean sheets last term and with defensive mastermind Jose Mourinho in charge at the Theatre of Dreams, United's defence will be water tight, protecting de Gea's goal like their lives depend on it. Twenty shut-outs over the course is not out of the question and the fact he is the Red Devils' indisputable number one means he will accumulate a lot of points by simply being on the field for the full 90 minutes. At £5.5 million, this is a good bit of business.
Defender
DeAndre Yedlin - Tottenham Hotspur; Price: £4.5 million.
A swashbuckling fullback, DeAndre Yedlin could make the big break through this year. The USA international spent last term on loan at the Stadium of Light and his defensive performances showed marked improvement towards the business end of last season under new England manager Sam Allardyce. Yedlin has always been strong going forward so the 23-year-old will chip in with his assists and with Pochettino (hopefully ) sorting out Spurs' defensive frailties, Yedlin looks set to score big this season.
Midfielder
Steve Davis - Southampton; Price £5.5 million
The Saints' captain is a super player who is an ever present on the team sheet (think appearance points ). Davis had another great season at St Mary's last term out and after starring in Northern Ireland's run to the Euros round 16, expect Davis to provide plenty assists to Southampton's strikers and to chip in with a couple of goals himself. Great value for money.
Striker
Harry Kane - Tottenham Hotspur; Price: £11 million
The London boy had a dreadful Euros but it was clear to every man and his dog that the main man at White Hart Lane was jaded after his club heroics during last season. I believe Kane will have a big season, looking to put his international form behind him. Spurs' attacking system suits the big forward and the fact he takes most of the free-kicks and penalties will certainly build up his points total. I expect Kane to find the onion bag on more occasions than not during the course of the year.
