Declan O'Rourke plays next Nocturne gig

Singer-songwriter in Galway this Sunday

So said the great Paul Weller, about Irish singer-songwriter Declan O'Rourke, who is coming to Galway to play the latest Nocturne gig at Loam restaurant, in the Fargreen, near the Radisson hotel.

As well as releasing a number of acclaimed solo albums, and enjoying a loyal following throughout Ireland, O’Rourke’s songs have been recorded by many respected artists. ‘Galileo has been recorded by Josh Groban, Eddi Reader, Jacqui Dankworth, and Brian Kennedy. Eddi Reader also recorded ‘Love is the Way’ while Swedish pop sensation Peter Jöback has recorded ‘A Little Something’.

O'Rourke's new album, In Full Colour, recorded with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, features re-imagined versions of the singer's songs, along with four new tracks, including the single ‘Children Of 16’. It will be released on October 28.
