Galway Pride Festival call for volunteers

The Galway Pride Festival is calling for volunteers to help with all aspects of this year's event, and volunteers do not have to solely be from the LGBT+ community, but can also be their family, friends, and allies.

“The support we’ve had so far from the Galway community has been humbling,” said Bruce Henry, chairperson of the committee, “but now we’re looking for individuals to join us for specific roles during the festival week.” There will be exclusive Pride tee-shirts to entry tickets to the main party on Saturday for volunteers.

With seven days of events planned, the festival is expected to be the biggest Pride event in Galway to date. The route for the parade has been extended and participation from local businesses has increased. Events include Tuesday's mental health workshop, Friday’s Comedy Night with Katherine Lynch, Saturday's parade and ‘Block Party’, and Sunday's Mystery Tour and Boat Trip.
