TWO EXHIBITIONS by the County Galway artist Yvonne King are currently on show - one in Galway city, the other in Connemara - with both displaying the full range of her diverse talent.
Western 1, featuring paintings and limited edition prints, can be seen at the Connemara National Park, Letterfrack, from 9am to 5.50pm daily, until August 7.
Western 2, featuring paintings, prints, and freshwater pearl jewellery, is on display at Workbench Galway, first floor, Bank of Ireland, Mainguard Street, Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm, until Friday June 29. The official opening takes place at 6pm this evening. The guest speaker is Declan Droney. All are welcome.
A native of Roundstone, Yvonne cites Connemara as the main inspiration for her work. However she is also working on a series of paintings of the east coast of the US. Yvonne exhibits annually at the Clifden Arts Festival in September. See www.yvonnekingart.com
