Justin Conboy to read at Over The Edge

JUSTIN CONBOY, the Salthill based writer, whose debut novel Code Thief was published in May, will read at the Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering in the Galway City Library on Thursday July 14 at 6.30pm.

In Code Thief, a young hacker, Dylan Charles, is caught hacking into the CIA database and is subsequently entrapped by CIA cyber agent John McGovern, into helping the CIA develop a super-virus to end the Iran's nuclear programme. The story follows Dylan and his family, along with John and his team of cyber agents, from Iran to Iraq, and all the way to Wall Street.

Also reading will be Australian poet Diane Fahey, author of 12 poetry collections; Louis de Paor, one of Ireland's leading contemporary poets; sean nós singer and poet Micheál Ó Cuaig; and novelist and emeritus professor of English at UCC, Colbert Kearney.

There will also be a showcase reading from the anthology Leabhar na hAthghabhála - Poems of Repossession, edited by Louis de Paor, and the launch of Falling In Love With Broken Things, the debut poetry collection by award-winning poet and blogger Alvy Carragher.
