The picturesque surroundings of Corrib Yachting and Rowing Club in Galway city will provide the venue for MADRA’s ‘The Dogs’ Dinner’ fundraising event which will take place on Saturday, July 9, from 7 pm.
The summer party is being organised to help MADRA launch their fundraising drive to meet the cost of essential improvement works which are currently underway at the Connemara-based rescue facility.
With more than €50,000 needed for a new roof, extended kennel space and other enhancements, the organisation is hoping to “raise the roof” of Corrib Yachting and Rowing Club with a fun-filled night of food, music, spot prizes and surprises.Tickets are €25 and include a vegetarian/vegan buffet and a welcome drink.
The event is BYOB (bring your own beverage ), but soft drinks, glasses and ice will be provided.
MADRA PRO, Eileen Keleghan, encouraged Galway’s dog lovers to join the charity for this fun night out.“We are calling on our supporters and volunteers to join us for a night of good food, great company, and some serious floor-fillers to help us kick-start our ‘Raise the Wuff’ fundraising campaign for our building fund.
“It is unusual for us to have an event where dogs have to stay at home, but to make up for this there will be a dog-theme and surprises, and you may even end up in the Dog House before the night is out!” said Eileen Keleghan.
