Keeva and Pauline Scanlon @ Monroe’s

SINGER PAULINE Scanlon will join Irish trad 'supergroup' Keeva, whose music also encompasses elements of jazz, for a concert in Monroe’s Tavern on Friday June 17 at 9pm.

Keeva are Alan Doherty (flute ) and Gerry Paul (guitar ), both members of Aldoc; celebrated fiddler Tola Custy, and Daoiri Farrell (vocals/bazouki ).

Pauline Scanlon has worked with Damien Dempsey, Sinéad O’Connor, Eleanor Shanley, Karen Casey and Sharon Shannon. Her vocal style draws on Irish trad, folk, and world music influences. She is also a member of Lumiere, and released her latest solo album, Gossamer, last month. The Irish Times said of her: "Her voice is a superb mix of china cup fragility and steely strength.”
