Little Green Cars to play Salthill

LITTLE GREEN Cars, one of Ireland's most acclaimed indie-rock bands, riding the crest of a wave with their new album Ephemera, play Seapoint, Salthill, on Thursday May 12 at 8pm.

Released in March via the Glassnote label, Ephemera was unquestionably the most anticipated Irish album of recent times. Two deaths, relationship break-ups, and more than two years’ worth of touring are among the key events that inform Ephemera’s richly-textured, harmony-soaked songs. Band co-vocalist Stevie Appleby has called it "a transitional album, all about change – the end of some eras, new beginnings, learning from the past and looking to the future."

In describing the album, Goldenplec.com, captured the sound of the Kerry band: "Ephemera is raw emotion distilled into a catharsis of cascading harmony, bruised vocals, and lyrics which have as many shadows as they do light." The Irish Times said, "fear, loathing, remorse and anguish have rarely sounded so joyful."

Little Green Cars are Steve (vocals ), Donagh Seaver O’Leary (bass ), Dylan Lynch (drums ), Faye O’Rourke (vocals ), and Adam O’Regan (guitar ).

The concert is a 'Róisín Dubh presents...' event. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
