TRAD MUSIC will meet the visual arts when Beoga and Lightscape join forces for Before We Change Our Mind, a special, one off performance, which takes place in Monroe’s Live on Thursday May 5 at 8pm.
Beoga will play new music against a visual display and light show, created by Lightscape through video mapping and 3D visual technology. The visuals created by Lightscape are inspired by the music on Beoga’s new album, also called Before We Change Our Mind.
Hailing from County Antrim, Beoga features the twin duelling accordions of Damian McKee and multi-instrumentalist Seán Óg Graham, pianist Liam Bradley, and four times All-Ireland bodhrán champion Eamon Murray, along with fiddler Niamh Dunne. Founded by visual artist and designer Brian Kenny, Lightscape have displayed their work in Ireland, Germany, America, Jordan, and South Africa.
Tickets are €15/12. See www.monroes.ie
