Land Rover reduces Irish prices by up to fifteen per cent

Land Rover has introduced a new pricing structure with average price reductions of 11 per cent.

With its new pricing structure Land Rover says new car buyers will not find better value, even in England or Northern Ireland.

For example, a 2.2 litre Freelander 2 TD4 Commercial is now available from €24,500 (down from €28,225 ), and the five-door passenger Freelander 2 is now available from €33,900 (down from €39,120 ). In addition, this reduction comes with an offer of any two of the following; one year free road tax, one year free insurance, or three years free servicing, if purchased before the end of March this year.

The award-winning Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial is now available from €34,120 (down from €38,775 ), while the Discovery 3 passenger vehicles are available from €51,340 (down from €56,570 ).

Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender also see price reductions ranging from six to 15 per cent. The iconic Defender starting price is €24,300 for the 90 pick up.

David Harpur, managing director of Land Rover Ireland, said: “Our range of vehicles is unique. The breath of capability that comes from 50 years’ experience making the best 4 x 4s sets the standard in the sector.

“Coupled with our finance package, the price reductions mean that it now makes sense to choose Land Rover as a business or family vehicle when selecting your next car. We are operating in very difficult market conditions and have taken the necessary measures to stay competitive and offer great value.”

Land Rover is designed for demanding roads or terrain, for family life, and for any weather conditions.

For example, Freelander 2 comes equipped with the Terrain Response system, front park distance control and automatic climate control. Freelander 2 has a top five-star rating in the Euro NCAP for adult occupant protection. It was also awarded four stars in the child protection category. In both the adult and child ratings it achieved the highest points of any vehicle in its category, making the Freelander 2 best in class for occupant safety.

Exterior revisions for Discovery 3 in 2009 incorporate new front and rear body colour bumpers, body coloured wheel arches, and revised exterior detailing. A new 19 inch seven-spoke wheel style and three new exterior metallic paint colours - Santorini black, Bournville [black with a hint of brown], and wait for it - Galway green - complete the exterior changes. Interior upgrades include a new almond trim colour and an updated Bluetooth system.
