Titans qualify for play-offs

With five games still remaining, Titans already have secured a National League play-off spot after a comprehensive 81-53 victory away to AOL Waterford on Saturday night.

Despite the absence of Paul Freeman, Titans had too much class for Waterford and led at half time by 36-25 before powering away in the second half. Rimvydas Visockas (20 ) led all scorers, which included a club record six three-pointers with support from Dave O’Keeffe (18 ) and Danny Finn (16 ).

Waterford’s main threat Kieran Nyhan and Paul Collins tried to keep Waterford in the match, but they were comfortably contained by Titans.

Sunday’s home game was cancelled as St Paul’s, Killarney did not travel, and Basketball Ireland will make a ruling on this game at their next competitions’ committee meeting.

Titans’ next home game is against the Limerick Lions on Saturday in the NUIG Kingfisher Stadium at 4pm.
